Coal has long been a mainstay of many peoples fires at home, but it is ultimately a fossil fuel. When we heard of Ecoal50, we were intrigued, and had to find out more.

* Produced with up to 50% renewable materials
* Burns up to 38% hotter than house coal
* Long Lasting
* Produces up to 80% less smoke, and 40% less CO2 than house coal
* Low ash content
* Long refuelling times
* HETAS approved
Suitable for use in smoke control zones
As a greener alternative to coal we are stocking this and will be stocking the Ecoal70 made from 70% renewable material when it is launched soon.
The Ecoal50 comes in a handy easy light pack, which remains in its bag, is placed direct into the fire, with the packaging as the lighter. We tried this product ourselves and found it lasted far in excess of the 3 hours quoted, and in fact was still giving lots of heat some 6 hours later! When you don’t want to mess about lighting fires… This is the perfect solution… Even in smokeless zones!
For the summer months we will be stocking Charcoal too…
We particularly liked this product made from an ethical local supplier produced on their own 15.5 acre woodland in the Taw Valley, from various hardwoods(ash, birch, willow and oak)
